Mussoorie International School invited former India no. 1 Tennis player Gaurav Natekar for an interactive session with its students and guests on Tennis, sports in general, health & fitness including live session with MIS students and interaction with teachers and distinguished guests to discuss the importance of sports, fitness and health in the life of youth in India.

During his visit, Gaurav Natekar interacted with students and spoke passionately about the importance of sports education, health and fitness in one’s life. He laid emphasis on how early sportsmanship inculcates in a child, virtues of humility, dedication and discipline and lays the foundation for a healthy and fit lifestyle. The highlight of his visit was a live tennis session with MIS students where he gave some valuable tips on racket holding, targets setting and key ways to hit the ball etc.

Speaking on the occasion Gaurav Natekar, CEO, Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academies and recipient of Arjuna Award said, “I had heard a lot about MIS and am happy to finally come here. The school has a rich history and a fantastic campus. I was happy see the enthusiasm of the girls at Mussoorie International School. It has been a privilege for MBTA to be associated with the school and we hope to continue working together in the years to come.

Speaking on his visit, Ms. Priya Peter, Principal of MIS said, “It is a great honour to have Gaurav Natekar visit our school and interact with the children. At MIS, we truly believe that sports education plays a critical role in empowering a child and aids in their holistic development and personality building. I am sure the students are inspired by him to view sports and fitness in a new, positive light. Tennis enthusiasts in MIS were particularly excited to receive tips from a Tennis veteran like him.
