Additional Chief Secretary S Ramaswamy inaugurated the 3 days Annual cultural and technical festival – Youthopia 2016 of DIT University here on 20th Oct 2016.

Students, keeping in mind the geography of Uttarakhand, developed a concept “All-Terrain Vehicle” for an easy movement of uphills.

Youthopia ’16 is the annual technical and cultural fest organized by DIT University, Dehradun. Originated with the sole aim of enhancing technical skills and promoting creativity among the students, this knowledge and cultural carnival has encompassed all boundaries to become a worldwide.

This 3 day technical fest is set to be the most exhilarating experience for students all over the country, laying down excellent opportunities like never before. Around 8,000 students from our university and 2,000 students from other colleges/universities gather every year to behold this extravaganza.

The events and workshops are meticulously designed to accentuate all genres of talent and reward the meritorious. Combining events and activities spanning various domains namely Battle of Bands, Fashionista, Literary Events, In-formals and the Star Nights all under one roof.

The DIT Motor Racing displayed their “Formula Type Car” which was already an acclaimed award winner at the Buddha International Circuit, Greater Noida. A cultural programme was organised by students of DIT University on the occasion. Youthopia is a fun filled three-day extravaganza. Various events and fun activities like crescendo, dramatics, dustbin painting, matki fod, kite-flying, gully cricket, lan gaming etc are organized during the festival.The famous troupe sensation “Band of Boys” performed on Friday after the much-acclaimed DIT University “Fashionista”. Celebrity “Javed Ali” will be performing live at the DIT University on Saturday. Anuj Aggarwal, chairman, DIT University, Prof KK Raina, Vice-Chancellor, Prof S Swaminathan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof Shishir Kumar, Director, Academics and Administration, DIT University with other dignitaries were also present at the opening ceremony of the festival.
